Thanks very much for visiting my website! My name is Kenji Kuramitsu (he/him) and I work and live in my family's hometown of Chicago.
Licensed as a clinical social worker in Illinois, I hold graduate degrees from the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration (AM) and McCormick Theological Seminary (M.Div), where I have served as an Adjunct Professor in Ministry. My Bachelor studies were in Social Work and Spanish at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I have completed a Fellowship am finishing a Certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy with the Chicago Center of Psychoanalysis, with whom I serve as Clinical Associate Faculty. I am board certified as a Group Psychotherapist (CGP) and have completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).

Outside of the professional credentials above, I really love writing, and strive to bring humor, curiosity, and warmth to my clinical, consulting, and ministry work. I have experience in nonprofit board service working with organizations in faith-based, LGBTQ, and Japanese American historical memory work.
I am interested in clinical practice, public theology, and consulting with progressive institutions working to further reparative and antiracist values.
